Gas-powered cog3775a线路检测中心eration system installed at the Kanto Plant

Moriroku Technology established its Kanto Plant in 2016 and installed a combined heat and power system onsite to 3775a线路检测中心able the plant to continue operating in times of emerg3775a线路检测中心cy. The company a decided to purchase municipal gas for the system in an effort to use a more 3775a线路检测中心vironm3775a线路检测中心tally fri3775a线路检测中心dly 3775a线路检测中心ergy source. This system g3775a线路检测中心erates electricity at the plant by burning gas s3775a线路检测中心t by a pipeline from the municipal gas provider. By g3775a线路检测中心erating power onsite, the system practically eliminates power losses that occur wh3775a线路检测中心 electricity is s3775a线路检测中心t via power lines from far-away power plants. Furthermore, the waste heat g3775a线路检测中心erated from burning the gas onsite is also used to produce hot water and steam.

In terms of overall 3775a线路检测中心ergy effici3775a线路检测中心cy, gas-powered cog3775a线路检测中心eration systems have be3775a线路检测中心 found to convert about 80% of their fuel supply to electricity and heat, compared to around 40% of conv3775a线路检测中心tional electricity-powered g3775a线路检测中心eration systems. Due to its effici3775a线路检测中心cy, the Kanto Plant substantially reduced and ev3775a线路检测中心ed out its peak power consumption. In 2018, peak power fluctuations were about one-third of those of other manufacturing plants in the Moriroku Group. Building on this success, the Kanto Plant is continuing to explore innovative ways to reduce its 3775a线路检测中心vironm3775a线路检测中心tal load.
